Suave estilo vintage - Smooth vintage style

Hoy es festivo aquí pero mis obligaciones no me han permitido salir a disfrutar de la buena temperatura que tenemos por aquí en el norte. Así que aquí estoy, me he dado un descanso entre tanta obligación para compartir con todos vosotros una visita que he descubierto hoy en mi sesión "dominguera" de revistas diaria.

Today is holiday here but my obligations have not allowed me to go out to enjoy the good temperature we have in the north. Here I am, I have just taken a rest from my many duties to share with all of you a visit that I have found today in my daily session of decoration magazines.

De la mano de la revista Elle Decor, visitamos una casa de campo (a dos horas y media en coche de Manhattan) con suaves pinceladas industriales y un resultado final decorativo masculino diría yo.

From the hand of the magazine Elle Decor  we visited a country house (two hour and a half in car from Manhattan) with smooth industrial brush-strokes and, I would say, a masculine decorative final result.

Es una casa equilibrada, con los detalles justos y necesarios para imprimir carácter a la misma: piezas con aire industrial se combinan con otras vintage de principios de siglo XX (como la silla Eames) y otras neutras formando un conjunto sobrio, con caracter pero sin pasarse.

It is a well-balanced home, with just the necessary details to stamp a character on it: pieces on industrial style are combined with other vintage pieces of early XX century (as the Eames chair), and some other neutral pieces, making up a set with character but without excesses.

 Dos sillas completamente tan diferentes como la Eames y la de caña contrastan y a la vez combinan perfectamente. Este recurso otorga más dinamismo y originalidad que si se hubieran puesto dos sillas iguales.

Two chairs completely different from each other as the Eames and the one made of reed contrast and at the same time perfectly combine. This idea provides more dynamism and originality than if two equal chairs had been used.
